Princess Parker, LPC
I would describe my therapy style as highly empathetic and compassionate. I really want my clients to feel seen and heard when they meet with me. I want them to feel as if they matter, because they do! Most often, I use CBT, Solution-Focused and Person-Centered therapies. I want my clients to learn to see the strength they truly carry and learn to see the positives within themselves.
Some challenges that my clients have presented with were low self-esteem, depression, anxiety (including social anxiety), academic challenges, and relational issues (friend, familial, romantic). I’ve also had clients that have experienced different forms of trauma. I have worked with both individuals and couples within the LGBTQ+ community in many ways, including acceptance within their families, religion, and even themselves. I have worked with veterans and some of the issues with integrating back into civilian life. I have experience with relationship counseling, whether there are active issues within the relationship (communication, infidelity, etc), issues with other family members, “maintenance”, or dealing with infertility, etc.
