Ana Cuellar, LPC
Ana has the most experience treating anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem/ negative self talk, trauma, and substance use. In her most recent role over the last 4 years, she has led or co-facilitated several group therapy sessions focused on skills training and a women’s trauma group managing symptoms of PTSD. She has also assisted in a few debriefing sessions with EMTs and firefighters who had responded to traumatic scenes. She also offered individual therapy and training to recognize the symptoms of PTSD.
Ana focuses on building a strong therapeutic rapport for collaboration. She listens to client experiences, and provides a safe space for clients to learn their thinking patterns. Together, they develop coping skills that can help them as they work towards their goals. She works from a person centered approach and often uses cognitive behavioral therapy interventions to assist clients, depending on their therapy goals. At the end of treatment clients have reported they have a better sense of self, coping skills to handle stressors, and a greater ability to manage their own emotions and thoughts in healthy ways.
